Man oh man, it’s been a rubbish week for crafting! I was hoping to share a cute patterned vase project with you on Tuesday but life had other plans. As I type this, I’ve got paint all over my hands, a bunch of pretty flowers just waiting to be photographed and no finished DIY to take photos of. Sigh.
You can see from the shot above that the spray paint was to blame right for this mess right? It had nothing to do with the fact that I didn’t wait long enough for the first coat to dry before I started poking at it with my fat fingers. Nor did it have anything to do with the day I chose to spray paint which was cold and rainy and not great for paint-drying. And of course it was totally unrelated to the fact that I was rushing to complete this project because I hadn’t prepped properly beforehand. Nah, none of those things came into play at all – it was absolutely the spray paint’s fault. 😉
To top it all off, I ran out of paint so I couldn’t even start over! Oh well, you live and you learn. I’ll just have to continue putting my flowers into highball glasses until I get a chance to retry this one again. At least I now have a house full of flowers to enjoy, which isn’t half bad really!
