To say I'm excited is an understatement - December is here which means the festive season has begun!

I know I said only last month that I wasn't ready for Christmas, and in terms of shopping and general preparedness, that's certainly still the case. But I love the holidays and it's impossible not to get excited once the end of the year rolls around, especially with a 6-year old in the house.

Our tree is up, Lauren's list to Santa has been written and sent, and believe it or not, I've even bought the first of our Christmas gifts (thank you Black Friday sales).

Lauren's school Christmas markets is on today as well, so by the time night has fallen, I'll be in as festive a mood as it's possible to be.
