There are so many ways to jazz up an envelope and yet somehow I’ve neglected to post a single envelope project on the blog. Slack I know, especially for a self-professed stationery addict!
Rest assured I’m going making amends pronto, and what better way to start than with some cheery sticker seals!
Let me tell you, stickers are one of the best ways to add a little personality to a plain envelope, especially for someone like me who’s always in a rush and grabbing a card at the last minute as I dash out the door to a party. If I have a stash of these little seals handy, I quickly pop one on and hey presto! Instant envelope cool.
Materials
- White A4 labels
- Scissors or a circle paper punch (in sizes 1 1/4 inch and/or 2 inch)
- Envelopes
Step 1
Head on down to the end of this post, download the envelope seal printable and print it onto a sheet of A4 label paper. There are two pages in the file – one with small seals and one with larger ones.
Step 2
Cut out each of the seals using scissors or a circle punch.
If you’re going down the paper punch route (which I highly recommend, it makes life much easier!) the small seals are sized for a 1 1/4 inch punch and the large seals can be cut out with a 2 inch punch.
Once you’ve cut out your seals, simply peel off the backing and apply to your envelopes.
To make these little guys as versatile as possible, I set up each page of the file with a mixture of seals with words and ones that have just the polka dot background. If the ones with words don’t suit your special event, you can use the plain ones instead.
And don’t feel you need to restrict yourself to envelopes – these stickers would make great favour bag seals for your next party or wedding. They might also be just the ticket for decorating small jar lids to store candy or treats. The sky’s the limit – go nuts and have fun!
