Well it just wouldn’t be right to get all the way to Christmas without a pun-related DIY now would it? After all, ‘tis the season to be jolly and I don’t know about you, but nothing makes me happier than a few awesome dad jokes.
And since it’s well and truly gift-giving season, you can make your friends and family EXTRA jolly by combining those dad jokes with a gift card from their favourite store!
This project’s an easy one and it’s great for any gift cards you’ll be wrapping last minute (like me!) before the big day. If you have pun loving friends who could use a good giggle this Christmas, hop on over to your craft room, break out the cardboard and follow along below. 🙂
- Christmas pun gift card holder printable file (see the end of this post to download)
- White A4 card
- Bone folder
- Double-sided tape or glue
Download the printable Christmas pun gift card holder file (at the end of this post) and print it onto white A4 card. Score along the faint white line that runs down the middle of each gift card holder using a ruler and bone folder.
Score along the white lines that mark off the tabs.
Cut out out each gift card holder with a pair of scissors.
Fold the gift card holders along the lines you scored in Steps 1 and 2.
Apply glue or double-sided tape to each of the tabs.
Fold each gift card holder in half so that the two sides stick together at the tabs to create a pocket.
Voila! The only thing left to do is insert your very awesome gift cards inside and arrange them under the tree!
